Our Friends from Lexington Catholic

In 2013, Lexington Catholic participated in the Costa Rica Science Research Experience. Nine students, Mrs. Formisano, and our own Mr. Heintz spent 10 days exploring the diverse landscapes and learning about leaf cutter ants. Three years later, Trinity is teaming up with Lexington Catholic from May 27th to June 7th to work with Dr. Pinto again.

You can follow their blog at: http://leafcutterants.blogspot.com/

This year, they are bringing 16 students and two teachers, Mrs. Formisano and Mr. Dorsett.

This is Mr. Dorsett. Not only is he a teacher at Lexington Catholic and administrator for the Governor's Scholars Program, he is an accomplished artist.

Mrs. Formisano teaches in the science department and was also part of the first Costa Rica trip. Check her out in the front row... after she braved an ascent into the rain forest canopy. It is not the ascent that is scary, its the getting down.

A few weeks ago, our Trinity guys got to meet their LCHS partners via Skype. They got to introduce themselves and exchange contact info. Hopefully they keep in touch before we leave for Costa Rica.
